SURF Engineer for Operator Company

Responsibilities

  • Provide additional support, competence and capacity in the project to ensure that the value creation for Company is maximised by:
  • Active participation in all phases of the project
  • Perform technical evaluation of the project and use this to achieve best possible value for Company
  • Contribute to a safe and cost-efficient development
  • Understanding of key risk and opportunities
  • Support Company development project
  • Provide technical expertise within subsea area in the project
  • Evaluate concept design, review key documents, participate in technical meetings, follow up key technical focus areas, etc.
  • Evaluate schedule and cost estimates
  • Participate in technical reviews
  • Review report issued by operator
  • Review concept select documentation
  • Asses new technology proposed by operator
  • Deliver SPS and SURF input to report and decision documentation
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities within own area
  • Report to the relevant Project Manager

Technical and personal skills

  • Very good understanding of general subsea engineering principles
  • Experience and knowledge from several of the following areas are required:
  • Good understanding of complex SPS systems design, construction and operation, specific experience with HIPPS solutions
  • Umbilical, flowline and riser design, construction and operation
  • Good understanding of D&W – SPS interfaces
  • Good understanding of SURF – SPS interfaces
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex pipeline systems design, construction and operation
  • Experience with PiP solutions
  • Good overview and understanding of flow assurance issues
  • Familiar with Norwegian rules and regulations
  • Up to date knowledge of authority requirements, processes and regulations relevant to the subsea discipline and activities
  • 10+ years broad experience from petroleum industry operations and development
  • Fluent in English language (written and spoken) is a requirement
