Project Engineer Subsea Controls for Operator Company
Responsibilities
Manage the subsea controls scope in support of delivery of Company’s Subsea development projects
Manage the Umbilical System scope in support of delivery of Company’s Subsea development projects
Support Company’s activities across Asset teams (Operated and Non-operated) on subsea controls system related issues during development, operation and decommissioning
Support the planning and safe execution of projects with specific focus on the activities associated with the SPS Control System and Umbilical System such as subsea control modules, electrical harnesses, P/T sensors, Multiphase Flowmeters, Hydrocarbon Leak detection system, subsea distribution system, UTAs, subsea jumpers. The Subsea Controls Engineer will also be supporting delivery of the topside part of the Subsea Control System such as the topsides installed SPCU and integration of this with the MCS.
Support the development and contract award for the SPS/SURF EPCI scope and ensure that the scope for the control system and umbilical system is comprehensive, clear on interface responsibilities.
Support management of SPS part of the Subsea Contractors’ delivery during FEED in support of the PDO submission and subsequently the delivery of the SPS controls system and umbilical system scope during Execute
Ensure implementation of Project BoD requirements into the system design
Participate in the Contractor’s technical meetings such as design/safety reviews
Identify and manage any deviations to specifications and industry standards
Participation in SPS FAT, EFAT and SIT
Assist with preparation of Offshore Installation Procedures
Ensure that the scope delivery is integrated with the SURF, Host Platform as well as integration across Subsurface, Drilling & Wells, System Engineering and Integrity Assurance
Support an effective risk and performance management system in the SPS delivery
Ensure application of Company’s project governance process (e.g. staged capital value process) to support effective project delivery
Ensure that the project deliveries meet the Governance / assurance requirements for upcoming Stage Gates (DG2, DG3 and DG4)
Technical and personal skills
Technical Engineering degree at BSc, BEng (Hons) or Masters level
A valid Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate is not an absolute requirement, however – availability, experience, and willingness to take on role offshore in relation to commissioning of systems, which require such certificate, is an advantage
Documented experience from similar positions in Projects, ideally with Oil and Gas Operator Companies in Norway
Minimum 15 yrs. experience in Subsea Production control systems
