Completion Engineer for Operator Company

Responsibilities

  • Apply and support HSE best practises in planning of well operations 
  • Deliver planning and support of well operations 
  • Optimize available resources during planning and execution of well operations
  • Expand of individual knowledge / participation in synergy and experience transfer
  • Apply Schedule & Cost performance analysis
  • Comply to regulatory and corporate policy 
  • Administrate allocated service contracts 
  • Plan safe, environmental sound and efficient well operations through collaborative efforts following the Well Design & Delivery Process and related policies/requirements
  • Ensure well design and operations comply with corporate management standards and regulatory requirements 
  • Provide technical support during operations (includes duty requirements/offshore as needed)
  • Track, analyze and investigate issues to improve operational performance
  • Provide input for risk assessment and mitigation plans
  • Monitor and analyze operational progress against plans and follow up on significant problems with corrective actions
  • Develop accurate cost estimates inclusive of appropriate contingency and monitor
  • Recommend implementation of new techniques and practices and conduct feasibility studies for new design concepts as needed
  • Document and champion lessons learned
  • Prepare and archive relevant documentation for well operations
  • Support delivery of reporting to offshore, management, authorities
  • Administrate allocated service contracts and procedures
  • Perform duty as required per Duty Guidelines
  • Specific roles and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for completion feasibility studies, design concepts, preliminary completion engineering, developing basis of design, and ordering long lead equipment
  • Support offshore completion rig operations and stimulation vessel operations
  • Conduct post audit of completion design and execution to ensure continuous improvement (inflow performance analysis, engineering review and production post audit)

Technical and personal skills

  • Master/Petroleum Engineer Degree or relevant education or experience
  • Tubing and casing design (Well-Cat, Well-Plan)
  • Stimulation design, stimulation operations, and post-stimulation evaluation 
  • Completion equipment functionality
