Business Support Drilling & Well for Operator Company

Responsibilities

The position provides critical business support to the Drilling and Wells department, including a role as SAP super user and wells process champion for Purchase to Pay process.  The individual report to the Director of Drilling and Wells, and will support the day to day organisation of the Drilling and Wells department on behalf of the Wells management team. 

  • SAP super user and purchase to pay champion 
  • Coordination and expedition of all requisitions originating from the drilling and well department. 
  • Secure requisition and purchasing optimization and improvement, follow-up and prioritise all items on critical line, cooperate with engineers to ensure that the PO’s are prioritised as necessary. 
  • Create PR’s in SAP according to the P2P process guidelines. 
  • Ensure that the PR’s are created accordingly to the PR form, ie correct gl account, material group  as well as the correct required attachments.  
  • Establish and coordinate the material plan (PO list) in accordance with the D&W’s requirements. 
  • Optimise collaboration to secure that all requested deliveries are requisitioned correctly (correct description of equipment and services). 
  • Support a lean, effective and auditable requisition process. 
  • Support and enforce all necessary activities to ensure that all requisitions on critical line are met in a timely manner. 
  • Inform and be informed of requisition / procurement matters of interest. 
  • As far as possible, overlook that all requisitions are aligned with real requirements. 
  • Assist cost controller in the SES process (invoice handling) when needed. 
  • Business support to the Drilling and Wells mgt team 
  • Act as department business support to the wells leadership team 
  • Manage and coordinate calendars for wells management team, ensure effective meeting culture is applied in the well department and support functions 
  • Coordinate and organize all well department meetings and events 
  • Act as business process owner, responsible for establishing and implementing effective ways of working 
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement process with aim to support department culture and becoming a high performance team 
  • Support and coordinate implementation of “yearly wheel” activities for wells department 
  • Support and enforce all necessary activities to ensure that all requisitions on critical line are met in a timely manner.

Technical and personal skills

  • 1-2 years of technical or accounting/business administration. Valuable experience may replace this.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant and varied experience from the oil-industry within a technical (drilling) discipline, preferably from an oil company (operator).
  • Ability to work independently. Focused on the objectives, but always within the general context of the well project. Commercial oriented with a high degree of personal integrity. 
  • Good SAP experience, Microsoft products and preferably some knowledge in PIMS and Contiki 
  • Formal competence or proven experience within business support, technical support, organisational development 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Norwegian and English, both written and verbally
  • Goal oriented, excellent communications skills.
  • Structured and solution oriented.
