Offshore Company Representative for Operator Company

Responsibilities

  • Ensure familiarity and observance of Company Emergency procedures
  • Ensure familiarity and observance of Company Logistics documentation including Norway Marine Operations Manual and Marine Vessel Induction Process
  • Review and familiarize with project specific documentation and procedures
  • Familiarise with terms of the contract
  • Provide input into HAZID/HIRAs and risk assessments
  • Coordinate where applicable with Marine Warranty Surveyor
  • Monitor the work undertaken and ensure it is completed safely and in accordance with the approved procedures
  • Act on behalf of Company during the management of change process
  • Ensure that SIMOPS are conducted in accordance with approved requirements
  • Attend project safety meetings and daily meetings onboard the vessel
  • Act as the focal point between Company and contractor for the permit to work
  • Inform client onshore about progress and liaise over project planning
  • Maintain a daily log covering all activities on the vessel
  • Prepare a daily summary report and issue by 0800 each day

Technical and personal skills

  • Engineering degree or diploma.
  • Less formal education may be compensated with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore construction as a specialist in one or more of the following: hydrographic survey, marine operations, subsea structures installation, flexible product installation, remote tie-in operations or pipelay
  • Training and experience with DP Operations
  • Training and experience with ROV / Diving operations
  • Offshore survival certificate and current medical
  • Leadership experience
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Strong commitment to the implementation of Company’s health, safety, environmental and quality philosophies.
