HSSE Advisor for Operator Company

Responsibilities

  • Contribute with HSSE expert advice and support as and when required
  • Contribute to the successful future growth and development of Company, helping create the kind of improvement culture that Company is seeking; an HSSE  improvement culture driven by pioneers, partners and professionals
  • Ensure that all activities conducted by and on behalf of Company, are conducted in compliance with Norwegian regulations, best industry practice and Company standards & guidelines  
  • Contribute to monitoring and follow-up operated and non-operated assets and operations with regards to HSSE performance
  • Contribute to follow up of contractors and suppliers
  • Contribute to maintainance and further development of the Company management system
  • Provide HSSE expert advise to management and staff
  • Carry out Risk evaluations and HSSE assessments
  • Participate in audits ( internal, partners, supplier and contractor audits)
  • Contribute to report, follow up and analyse accidents, incidents, work related illness and non-conformities
  • Support HSSE training and competency development
  • Be responsible for Health, Safety, Security and Protection of the environment at the workplace, participate in HSSE trainings according to competency maps, and contribute to integrate HSSE into the company culture.

Technical and personal skills

  • University degree – Master/Diplom
  • Preferably a technical engineering degree or some specialisation in the areas of HSE /Risk Management and/or Quality Management
  • 3-5 years relevant professional experience
  • In depth knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulations and associated standards.
  • Excellent inter-personal and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter – proven experience facilitating workshops and writing reports and strategies.
  • Considerable expertise in all aspects of offshore production and operations.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
  • Norwegian language an advantage but not essential.
