Integrate well, seismic, geological, and other relevant data to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the subsurface.
Seismic interpretation, velocity analysis and depth conversion, leading to the construction of reservoir surfaces and associated uncertainty ranges for input to reservoir models
Use pre- and post-stack seismic data and quantitative rock physics to characterize the subsurface
Design, advise and follow up appropriate external studies, evaluate and incorporate study findings i.e Inversion, rock physics etc
Wok according to the company’s best practices and standards as well as suggesting improvements to these. Test new technologies, workflows and software
Contribute to technical proposals, reports and presentations to partners (workshops/EC/RC) or internally (BPR/peer review), in collaboration with area’ Team
Support and contribute to exploration licenses as required

Master degree or equivalent in geophysics
Seismic interpretation using a suite of interpretation tools (Petrel, Geoteric, RokDoc and DUG)
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience from the Oil & Gas industry, and knowledge of the E&P business
Strong background in seismic interpretation and competent in fundamentals of mapping (synthetic well ties, horizon/fault mapping, 3D attributes, etc.)
Strong background in seismic forward modelling (preferably RokDoc) to help calibrate seismic interpretations to well results
Strong background in qualitative prestack interpretation (AVO & EEI)
Comfortable providing QC on seismic processing and prestack inversion projects being done by 3rd party vendors
Relevant experience working with operated development projects and workflows in Norway preferred
Team player with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and to integrate other subsurface disciplines into a project. Basic understanding of own role and other roles
Ability to effectively present and discuss results and issues, and to provide the technical base for decisions
