Facilities Engineer for Operator Company
Responsibilities
- Active participation in all phases of the project
- Perform technical evaluation of the project and use this to achieve best possible value for Company
- Contribute to a safe and cost – efficient development
- Understanding of key risk and opportunities
- Support development project
- Provide technical expertise within facilities area in the project
- Evaluate concept design, review key documents, participate in technical meetings, follow up key technical focus areas, etc
- Evaluate schedule and cost estimates
- Participate in technical reviews and work
- Review concept select documentation
- Asses new technology proposed by operator
- Deliver SPS and SURF input to report and decision documentation
- Identify and manage risk and opportunities within own area
- Report to the relevant Project Manager
Technical and personal skills
- Very good understanding of facilities engineering principles
- Very good understanding of oil & gas production operations and the production value chain
- Experience and knowledge from several of the following areas are required:
- Process engineering
- System design
- Production engineering
- Facilities design
- Offshore operations
- Understanding of production chemistry
- Good overview and understanding of flow assurance issues
- Familiar with Norwegian rules and regulations
- Up to date knowledge of authority requirements, processes and regulations relevant to the facility discipline and activities
- 10+ years broad experience from petroleum industry operations and development
- Fluent in English language (written and spoken) is a requirement
